Edimax goes a step beyond ordinary print servers with the new MFP server

April 20, 2006 – Edimax Technology (TSEC: 3047), presents the PS-1206MF, a Multi-Function Print (MFP) Server that enables a Multi-Function printer to become a shared device in a network. The Multi-Function Print Server allows multiple users to share the printer’s print, scan, fax and card reader functions through the network.


The Edimax MFP Server is very user-friendly and provides an easy and quick installation and set-up with the Windows Installation Wizard. By building a bi-directional communication with the Multi-Function printer, the Edimax MFP Server allows users to monitor important information, such as paper and ink levels of the printer. The device additionally contains a traditional print server function that supports LPR, IPP, Raw Printing and Unix Logical printing methods, which enables users to choose the preferred printing method according to their environment.
