October 25, 2006 - > Edimax Technology (TSEC: 3047), leading manufacturer of networking solutions, today announced the availability its PS-1206PWg, a wireless print server that is equipped with a parallel port. With the PS-1206PWg users can easily share a parallel printer, simply by connecting the printer directly to a wired or wireless network.
The PS-1206PWg is easy to install with the user-friendly Windows based installation wizard and can be configured via any network client that supports web browsing. Users can connect the print server to the network either by a 10/100 Ethernet cable or wirelessly, supporting networking speeds up to 54Mbps when wireless. The PS-1206PWg supports peer-to-peer (TCP/IP/IPX/NetBEUI/AppleTalk) and Server-Based printing (Novell, NetWare and Windows). In addition, the device supports complete printing methods such as LPR, IPP, SMB/TCP, Raw Printing and Unix Logical printing, enabling users to choose the best printing method for their specific environment.
