Edimax passes Wi-Fi Alliance Certification Program for new n-Max series

nMax 802.11n draft 2.0 product line recognised for its interoperability, advanced security features and backward compatibility
10th August 2007 - Edimax Technology , announced today that its wireless LAN Broadband Router (BR-6504n), wireless LAN USB Adapter (EW-7718Un) and wireless LAN PCI Card (EW-7728In) have achieved the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ status for 802.11n draft 2.0 products from the Wi-Fi Alliance®.
The Wi-Fi CERTIFIED logo assures that the Edimax Router, USB Adapter and PCI Card from the n-Max series have met rigorous interoperability testing requirements to ensure compatibility with products from other vendors. In addition they are adherent to the latest in security protection backward compatible with previous generations of Wi-Fi products. All other n-Max solutions from Edimax are currently being tested by the Wi-Fi Alliance and will be receiving the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Logo soon.
Products based on the 11n draft 2.0 standard, offer faster transmission rates and a significantly increased wireless coverage. A higher bandwidth and speed of 11n ensure a stable connection that allows users to run multiple applications on a single network, without any interruptions or connection drops. In addition, so called “dead spots” in the wireless range are eliminated.
Edimax is the first vendor to supply detachable high-gain antennas with its 11n product line. In combination with the unique Edimax antenna relocation stand (EA-MARS), users can relocate the antennas according to their specific environment and enhance the wireless coverage even further.
