Let there be Flexible Broadband Router solution for home and small office environments!!!
Edimax Technology, manufacturer of networking solutions introduces the BR-6226n, a flexible Broadband Router solution from its award-winning nLite series. This new router provides wired or wireless Internet access to multiple computers and allows users to create a stable and secure network in their home or office. The BR-6226n complies with 802.11b/g standards and is compatible with the 802.11n standard. When used in combination with an 802.11n device, the router reaches data transmission rates up to 150Mbps and provides an increased wireless coverage.
The router supports Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) connection mode, allowing users to share the WISP connection with all computers and networking devices within the network without needing an extra gateway. In WISP mode, the router repeats the wireless signal from the ISP's access point and allows internet access to both wired and wireless stations. With built-in NAT the router supports up to 253 wired or wireless clients to simultaneously share an Internet connection. The BR-6226n comes with two practical hardware features on its back panel which helps simplify the router's management. A wireless on/off switch enables users to switch off the Wi-Fi connection when they prefer to use the wired connection. What's more, to protect the wireless signal, the Wi-Fi Protected Setup button on the router enables user to set up wireless security with just one push on the button.
The installation of the BR-6226n is easy with the multilingual EZmax setup wizard that guides users through the setup in a few simple steps. In addition, the router supports the convenient Edimax EZview management application with IP free setup. Within the EZview system, the BR-6226n becomes the central window from which all connected UPnP compatible devices can be monitored, linked, renamed and managed, either locally or remotely. In addition, EZview enables users to assign a unique and easy to remember name for all connected devices which means that they don't need to remember multiple IP addresses.
