Edimax 3G-6200n = Broadband N Technology + 3G Technology + Print Server Technology

2009-09-04

Manila, Philippines - Edimax Technology, introduces its 3G-6200n; a multifunction wireless Broadband Router. This router offers the flexibility to share either a 3G/3.5G connection or a XDSL/Cable connection with all network users. The 3G-6200n features a built-in Ethernet WAN port to connect a cable or xDSL modem and a USB 2.0 port for UMTS/HSDPA mobile Internet services or printer sharing.

Connected to a 3G USB modem card, the router enables users to share a 3G connection with data rates up to 7.2 Mbps. When connected to an xDSL or cable modem it supports data rates up to 150 Mbps and a significantly increased wireless coverage with support for the latest wireless technology; the 802.11n standard. The 3G-6200n offers extra flexibility by enabling users to share a printer with all network users by simply connecting a USB printer to the router's USB port. The print server supports LPR as well as IPP printing methods so users can choose the best printing method for their specific network environment.

The 3G-6200n is easy to install and manage with the included multilingual EZMax setup wizard and the integrated EZView management. Within the EZView interface users can manage the router locally or remotely through the Internet. In addition, the EZView interface allows users to detect all connected UPnP compatible devices in the network and manage information such as bandwidth, IP address, open ports and DMZ of each device. To simplify the configuration of wireless security, the router supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) technology which enables users to set up advanced wireless security, simply by pushing the pairing button on the router.
