Edimax Technology, leading manufacturer of networking and connectivity solutions, introduces a powerful NAS storage server which comes in a 1-Bay (NS-2501) and a 2-Bay (NS-2502) version for different environments. The NS-2501 and the NS-2502 are complete storage solutions with high-speed networking capabilities. Users can add storage space to their network and share media or files quickly and easily within the network. The NAS Servers are easy to install; users simply need to connect the servers to the network through the Gigabit Ethernet connection.

The NS-2501 features one disk drawer to enclose a 3.5” SATA HDD and the more powerful NS-2502 provides space for two 3.5” SATA HDD's with a maximum capacity of 1 TB per bay. The NS-2501 and NS-2502 function as flexible and complete media servers. A built-in iTunes Music server allows users to connect an iPod to share and play media files. In addition, the DLNA and UPnP server allows users to share media files with UPnP and DLNA compliant media adapters or players within the network. Both NAS servers support FTP/HTTP and BitTorrent (P2P) downloading features, enabling an uninterrupted download, even when the computer is powered off.

Furthermore, the NAS servers feature two USB ports to connect USB mass storage devices and flash disks to share files or multimedia with other network users. The convenient 'Hardware Release' and 'Copy' button enables users to unplug external USB devices or copy content from the device to the attached HDD. To secure stored and shared content, the NS-2501 and NS 2502 offer different levels of security, including password security and access right management features based on Users and/or Folders.
